Meanwhile - I am a found member of <a href="https://thegrid.io" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Grid </a>- and cannot wait to get my hands on it - so I can restart Just Good Music in a VERY different way.
Until then – I maintain a love and interest in music – – particularly the business side – and as I was cleaning up some backlog this afternoon – discovered this wonderful item. I wonder how we can help.
Seems like I am not the only act in town that thinks so highly of this product.
Let me cut to the chase – the article ends with this comment.
The intuitive use of Sprout Social sets it apart from the competition. It’s a simple, effective way to manage your social media efforts. However, every product is never without its short-comings. Google integration and publishing is NOT available on Sprout Social. So, posting to Google+ takes additional effort on the marketer’s part to increase their social media gamut. Sprout Social is not a be-all, end-all social media management system, but it is mant to conduct a good percentage of your efforts. With the reporting, messages, and publishing efforts of the platform, it’s a great tool for social media ROI and engagement.
I agree – “Sprout Social is not a be-all, end-all social media management system” – but then what is ? And surely the lack of “Google integration and publishing” is a Google API question (I think – must go and check that …). Will post more info when I find it.
But that all said – do click through and take a read – the writer goes into a tonne more detail than I ever will in my posts – and since it comes to you via Social Media Today – well – it must be right – no ?
<a href="http://beyondbridges.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/music_notes.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-2449" alt="music_notes" src="http://beyondbridges.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/music_notes-150x150.jpg" width="150" height="150" /></a>... the question is whether it is good news for music or musicians ? What is more ... the truly sad thing in all of this .... well how about
“Had the music industry been more open to change in 1999, analysts said, it might not have taken more than a decade to get to this stage. Still, better late than never.”
The home page of Sprout Social is a veritable forest of goodness that you need to get your head around.
This post is JUST about the Home page that you are presented when you first log on. As I build out this series, I will cross reference to the other aspects of the application so that you get the full picture of what it can do for you. Continue reading →
There is no doubt that the complexity of the world is increasing each and every day – and part of that is the job of monitoring, managing and making sense of all of those confounded networks that you are signed up for that are supposedly generating business for you = but still – somehow you really really just do not KNOW.
<a href="http://beyondbridges.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/sprouts.png"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-2130" alt="sprouts" src="http://beyondbridges.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/sprouts-150x150.png" width="150" height="150" /></a>We all love them don't we? No? Well, they do unfortunately fall into an unfortunate category of vegetables kids love to hate - but now we can get a little insight into why that might be ....
So why am I bringing this up in the middle of this steady stream of business commentary and ‘future think’ ?
Well, funnily enough I have been trying out a system called SproutSocial – which I discovered a while back. As I always do with stuff that catches my eye – I signed up – and even mentioned on this blog that I had just been reading about it on Venture Beat.
So now – three and a half months later here I am again. Still using it. Interesting huh ?
This is the introduction to a series of posts about Sprout Social. I am using this tag to bring all the posts together – I am that impressed with them – but more of that later. For now click through – take a look – and more to come – I promise.
.. Well big businesses as well, but I am increasingly interested in how small businesses can really utilize all the amazing stuff out there. There is so much, that sometimes it is too much. Ok – let’s be honest – it is too much – which is arguably the same as none at all – because you get frozen into NOT making a decision.
Read on for the full 411 – to find out where you should be focussed as a small business, what you should be paying attention to – and start to think about managing your online reputation.
